Unique lakefront fully-furnished apartments for rent (1-18 months, based on availability), nested on the East sunbathed shores of Lake Como, in the picturesque town of Abbadia Lariana (just 7 Km/4.5 miles from the city of Lecco), Italy.
The 6 apartments are located in two renovated historic buildings which share a tiered private garden. This garden allows direct access to a white-pebbled beach where watersports like paddle-boarding and canoeing may be enjoyed year-round (equipment rentals are made available on the beach in the summer).
A short walk from the beach, you may enjoy a lovely promenade, various eating establishments and the Abbadia pier where regularly-scheduled boats stop to collect those interested in visiting other lake gems like Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio, Tremezzo, Abazzia di Piona, and Como.
For the more adventurous, the Grigna and Grignetta mountains, just behind Abbadia offer scenic hicking, bicking, sky-running and mountaineering terrain, while the surrounding valleys of Chiavenna, Engadina, Valtellina and Valsassina offer quick getaways into the region’s more rustic enclaves with many culinary delights, including locally produced cheeses, cured-meats and wines.

The apartments are near various in-town pizzerias (including the scenic but very simple Abbadia Camping) and restaurants (including Baba du Lac and da Piero ). Local cuisine is highlighetd at Osteria Sali e Tabacchi (Mandello) and Osteria Olga (Lecco). For a terrace by-the-water dining experience, try La Vecchia Varenna (Varenna), da Giovannino (Malgrate), or Il Giardinetto (Mandello). For a more elegant culinary experience, try Nicolin (Lecco), or Mistral Restaurant in Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni (Bellagio). For an unforgettable culinary feast, a little further away, try Da Vittorio (Bergamo) which is deemed one of Italy’s best restaurants.
Bar, Lounge & Happy Hours
The area is full of alternatives for people who like aperitivos and nightlife. The bars and pubs are open till late at night both in Lecco, Varenna, and Como. For dancing there is Orsa Maggiore right on the lake a few kilometers away, the Club Modà in Erba or the Made Club in Como. For other musical genres there is Dancing Lavello in Calolziocorte, less than twenty minutes by car. For a nice aperitivo we suggest the “classical” bars in Lecco: Commercio, Manzoni, Sunflower, Imbarcadero or simply Bar 67.

Open Air Activites
For lovers of open air activities the mountains around Abbadia Lariana and Lecco are world renowned with all sorts of paths with different levels of difficulty. For wind lovers, the Cornizzolo is an excellent base to glide to the valley floor. For watersport addicts, excellent sailing and windsurfing opportunities are available on the lake in addition to canoeing, waterskiing, and paddle boarding.
